“Collaborating with Dr. Norton has been invigorating and inspiring. I have had the opportunity to connect with Dr. Norton in several realms. In each space, I have been afforded the opportunity to receive guidance and translate my passion into tangible form. Dr. Norton has had an incredible impact on my evolution by effectively listening to help me critically think through my journey as an individual and my impact on the world. Through Dr. Norton’s joy, dialogue, and reciprocity, I have been able to attain my Ph.D. in Earth and Environmental Science.”

“Nadjwa asks questions that keep me focused, discovering my true desires and goals, designing my life so I can attain them. ‘How do you systemize joy multiple times a day?’ I didn’t even know that was a question, much less how to answer it when I started working with Nadjwa. It is a new mindset to prioritize working for myself. It is also an extraordinary experience to learn how to create systems of self-care using tools that help me to think deeply and to reflect. When I introduce myself to new folks, I am able to embrace my joyous, creative self and share it with others. Nadjwa asks me to analyze that part of myself so that I can live within my joy and strength at all times.”

“I have had the pleasure of working with Dr. Nadjwa Norton in various spaces in the past. Together we designed a literacy class for adult learners, where our work involved creating experiences using multimodal text to push traditional beliefs of how literacy has been taught and, instead, how literacy could be seen. Dr. Norton and I also worked together during our time in Invigorations, a group created by Dr. Norton, where individuals from various positionalities get together in order to critically think, design, and apply concepts to the work we do on a day-to-day basis. Dr. Norton holds incredible talent to bring people together to think and question what we already know and redesign to create a more inclusive world, a common theme throughout the different spaces she has created and provided.”
